描述:Scholars in the field of translation have various viewpoints about the translation theories created by the German functional school. Thereafter, people do not debate over using literal translation or free translation, both of which are based on the equivalence theory and start with the function and purpose of translation. They play much emphasis on selecting methods and strategies according to his specific translation purposes. The definition and essence of translation, the role of the participators and the functional principles are the three core contents among all the theories. At the same time, the traditional translation methods, for instance: faithfulness, expressiveness, elegance and equivalence, are not in line with the advertisement translation in modern society, so we should search for the new ones. This thesis combines the skopos theory, which is proposed by Germany scholars with the features of advertisement to discuss the principles and strategies of advertisement translation made by most enterprises who want to strengthen foreign publicity so as to export more products.
